About the
Author/Photographer
Hello!
I’m Selena, a chronically-ill, genderfluid Bisexual human who loves to write stories and take photos of a bit of everything.
as a self-taught photographer, I thrive on sharing the beauty of the world around us through the lens of my camera.
When it comes to my writing journey, I am passionate about every story I write. As nervous as I am about anyone actually reading my work…i hope they bring joy to those who give my them a chance.
I grew up on the gulf coast of Florida as a small undiagnosed ADHD Bipolar menace. I would get in trouble all the time, but not for things like fighting… It was always for things like bringing various animals, birds, and reptiles into the house or school classroom — this included various snakes, lizards, birds, small mammals… And the one time I tried to catch an alligator in our ditch to make a new friend… nobody seemed happy about that, but of course I thought it was hilarious. I also felt thoroughly prepared because I watched Steve Irwin do it loads of times. And as a 10 year old, what could possibly go wrong?
For the last 20+ years I’ve lived in various areas across North Carolina. Many of my stories take place in north Carolina (or at least start there)
